Meet Grace Mathews, M.S., LPC-IT

As a naturally curious individual, it's always been a passion of mine to get to know others. Taking my first psychology and sociology classes solidified that learning and working with people was my thing, and it led me to becoming a mental health therapist. Navigating life can be intimidating, challenging, and overwhelming, but we don’t have to go through it alone.

I show up best for children, adolescents, and young adults navigating anxiety, depression, challenging emotions, trauma, and eating disorders. I love working with teens and helping them process big emotions while validating their worries and experiences. I aspire to help my clients feel supported and understood as they move through the unpredictability of life.

Educational Background…

I earned my Bachelor of Science in Psychology in 2023 from UW Eau Claire and completed my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Wisconsin-Stout in 2026.

I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and utilize an eclectic approach to create individualized treatment plans and interventions.

On a personal note…

I am a silly and laid-back individual who loves being outdoors and on the beach. There is something about the wind on my face and feeling the sun’s rays that is peak relaxation. I enjoy spending time with friends and attending live music events throughout the Eau Claire community. Additionally, I love getting lost in a good fantasy book and offloading stress at the gym. Staying active helps me show up for myself, which betters my ability to show up for others.
